Man Found Shot To Death In Northwest DC Alley; Suspect At Large, Police Say

An investigation has been launched after a man was found shot to death in the back of an alley in Northwest DC, the Metropolitan Police Department confirmed.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Sunday night, officers were called to the 700 block of Lamont Street NW to investigate reports of shots fired in the area. 

Upon arrival, police say that they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds in a rear alley. He was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

The shooting suspect was described as being a slimly built Black man who was wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt and dark clothing. 

He was last seen fleeing from the alley on Lamont Street. No details about the victim was provided by the police.
